Deposition of an object of copyright is a procedure for transferring a copy of a work for storage with the receipt of a certificate in order to establish the presence of a copy in a certain person on a certain date for the subsequent protection and commercialization of the right to a work.
Objects of copyright: works of science, literature and art, regardless of their merits and purpose of the work, as well as the way of expression:
LITERARY WORKS
MUSICAL WORKS
PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKS
COMPUTER PROGRAMS
The author of a work of science, literature or art is a citizen whose creative labor it was created.
Copyright applies to both published and unpublished works expressed in any objective form, including in written, oral form (in the form of public speaking, public performance and other similar form), in the form of an image, in the form of sound - or video recording, in volumetric-spatial form.
The emergence of copyright occurs at the time of the creation of the work. If the author does not have confirmation of the creation of the work, the protection of the rights to the work will be difficult, and more often than not, practically impossible. In this case, in the event of a dispute, the author must provide a copy of the work on which he would be indicated as the author, while the earliest copy of the work is provided.
An effective way of proving the author's right is the deposit of the work with the receipt of a certificate of deposit. From this moment, the author has confirmation that his work exists on the date of receipt of the certificate, and he himself is indicated as the author. Thus, the author will be considered as such until proven otherwise - for example, an earlier certificate of deposit is not provided.
The organizations that carry out the deposit include:
1. International - for example, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
2. National - for example, Library of Congress (USA).
3. Private - for example, the Unified Depository of the Results of Intellectual Activity (EDRID).
