Utility Model Patent No. 140861

Scope of use

The utility model relates to a stator element of a power turbine, in particular, to sealing gaps in rotary machines. More specifically, the invention relates to the configuration of a stationary stator housing of a power turbine in such a way as to control the clearance between rotating and stationary turbine components. In particular, the utility model relates to a sealing coating applied to the stator elements of power turbines.

Steam turbines of production facilities are the main prime movers of powerful compressor and pumping units, the reliability and efficiency of which is given special attention.

Currently, the world's leading manufacturers of steam turbines are most actively conducting research in the direction of design solutions for seals for steam turbines.

Sealing or wear coatings are used in gas turbine engines in aviation, power engineering, gas pumping units (GCU) instead of inserts made of sealing materials. Wear coatings reduce the gap between the stator and the rotor of the gas generator (compressor and turbine). Using plasma spraying, the sealing coatings are made so pliable that the edge of a blade or labyrinth easily cuts into their layer, however, they are strong enough to withstand the pressure of the gas flow at elevated temperatures.
